Optimise Your Experience
Vodka is traditionally drunk neat in the Vodka Belt countries of Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries. We agree that that is the best way to drink vodka.
To best consume neat vodka, you should store your vodka in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator. Due to the high alcohol level the vodka should not freeze. Then pour some vodka – not more than 35.5ml, into a shot glass and consume, ideally in 1 go. You should always consume some water after each vodka shot. This is the traditional way to consume vodka in Poland, amongst friends or with a special meal such as Steak Tartar! We do not recommend drinking numerous shots in quick succession.
Of course vodka is also commonly used in cocktails and as the alcohol content for mixed drinks.
See our cocktails section for some Polish cocktail recipes.
