Hirsch Privatbrauerei

Hirsch beer specialities are one of a kind and unique in the market. They reflect their homeland, local customs and history.

Quality not Quantity, Character not Uniformity. That is the corporate philosophy of the Hirsch brewery in a nutshell.

The brewery was actually founded in 1657. It was bought by Anton Josef Höss in 1859 and has been in the Höss family since then. The brewery was rebuilt in 1891 by Hermann Hoss. But on the 23rd February 1945 much of the brewery was destroyed in a bombing raid. The Hoss family set about rebuilding the brewery again. In 1972 a guesthouse was built at the brewery. And in 1976 the brewhouse was modernised to meet the highest quality standards. The brewhouse was reconstructed and further modernized again in 2006 ensuring the brewery stayed at the forefront of modern brewing technology. By employing the most modern technology, the brewer is able to improve the quality and consistency of the beer. However, the brewery still retains the traditional brewing practices that make these beers stand out in their category, particularly the extended 6 to 8 week fermentation period which is virtually unheard of elsewhere.

The Hirsch brewery welcome visitors to their brewery. Contact Fourcorners for more information if you wish to visit the brewery.
