So why does the myth that beer is fattening exist?
Research into drinking habits has found that beer's fattening reputation has more to do with the lifestyle of those who drink it. Beer is an appetite stimulant, so often it is the fish and chips, snackboxes, crisps or kebabs at the end of the night that put the weight on!
A reminder that beer is a relatively healthy drink (zero fat content, plenty of essential vitamins and minerals, relatively low levels of calories per unit).
